"Woodittch" is a collection of handbags that stitch wood with neon.

 

While wood represents nature, the chemical neon colour represents human technology. We use the neon string to stitch the wood to reveal the story: Human technology can destroy our nature but can also protect our nature. It just depends on how we use it.

 

Two items in the collection are made out of thin MDF with real wood skin-mounted fabric as surface finishing. This reduces the weight and volume and increases the flexibility of shape, yet keeps the natural wood texture and pattern. The neon strings are neon yellow painted leather strings.

 

Since MDF can hardly be bent, we applied a special laser cut pattern at the bending part of the handbag to provide flexibility in making this U-shape.
